FAULT: Rangehood doesn’t turn on and the lights don’t come on
TRY: This is a very common problem for people who have just moved into their House/Apartment. Look in the cupboards to the side or above the rangehood. There will be most times a mains socket. Make sure any mains plugs that are near this socket are pushed in all the way and that the socket is turned on.
Check that the rangehood is not the type where it has a slide out handle to turn it on. (pull towards you gently, do not force it)
Check that the fuse box hasn’t any fuses in the off position
Check to see that there isn’t any switch on the wall in the kitchen area that needs turning on to make the rangehood work.
Finally check that the switches on the rangehood are on (these can be sometimes be well hidden on the rangehood)
